SHENG . 生 is a high-end boutique hotel for visiting scientists and businessmen working in the science field. Located at Queenstown, Commonwealth, the hotel features an all-day bar, skylight cafe, and ample seating area for guest to connect with like-minded others and hold informal meetings.
THE CONCEPT
Picking up inspiration from the basic building blocks of life, cells. The interior is designed to reflect how living cells work and reimagine a modern living cell. Making the hotel seems like a living thing with cells that make up the inside. Curves and straight lines as an interpretation of how organic matters move and link up within a cell itself.

LOBBY
Welcome space that acts as a meeting point for hotel guest to hold informal meetings and network with other like-minded individuals.

SKYLIGHT CAFE
A cafe space with an impressive overhead view of the sky above for guest to hold their informal meeting over a non-alcoholic drink for those who do not wish to do meetings over alcohol. It is also another option for guests to have a space to do their work.

PREMIER ROOM
The premier room provides the basic necessities for guests to have a comfortable stay in the hotel. The rooms feature a custom-made movable table by the bed that allows guests to have the comfort of the bed while either doing their work or having a meal on it.

PREMIER ROOM TOILET
The premier room toilet provides basic facilities for guests to relax and refresh themselves after a long day of work.

SUITE ROOM
The suite room offers a more spacious space compared to the premier room. It mainly features a skylight that brings in natural light and provides a night sky view at different times of the day.

The Suite room toilet offers the comfort of having a skylight window to create a unique toilet experience.

ALL DAY BASEMENT BAR
A basement bar for hotel guests to chill and hang out with friends and colleagues after work or throughout the day. A networking spot for individuals to connect with others in the field.
